Paint Correction

Restore Clarity, Depth & Gloss to Your Paintwork.

Our Single Stage Paint Correction is designed for vehicles with light to moderate swirl marks, scratches and paint defects that require more correction than an Enhancement Detail.

Using professional machine-polishing techniques, defects are safely reduced or removed to restore clarity, depth and gloss while preserving the integrity of the paintwork.

What Does Paint Correction Involve?

Paint correction is a controlled machine-polishing process used to permanently reduce or remove defects from the clear coat rather than temporarily hiding them with waxes or fillers.

Before polishing begins, the exterior is thoroughly cleaned and chemically decontaminated to remove bonded contamination. The paintwork is then inspected under specialist lighting to identify swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, previous polishing defects and other imperfections.

The appropriate combination of machine, polishing compound and pad is then selected for the condition and characteristics of the paint. The objective is to remove only the amount of clear coat necessary to achieve the required improvement while preserving as much paint as possible.

Not every defect should be chased. Deeper scratches that extend beyond a safe correction depth may be reduced rather than completely removed. Where more intensive work is appropriate, targeted defect removal or wet sanding can be assessed separately.

Once corrected, the paintwork is refined and prepared for ceramic protection, locking in the restored clarity, depth and gloss.

Enhancement Detail or Paint Correction?

The Enhancement Detail is an all-round package, combining a full interior and exterior deep clean with a lighter machine polish to improve gloss and reduce minor defects.

Paint Correction removes the interior deep clean as standard and concentrates that time on the paintwork. More corrective polishing combinations are used, with considerably more time spent working individual panels to achieve a greater level of defect removal.

The biggest difference is time and correction intensity. Enhancement improves the whole vehicle; Paint Correction prioritises achieving a significantly higher standard from the paintwork.

Every Vehicle Is Assessed Individually

Paint depth, previous repairs and defect severity all affect what can be safely corrected. Some deeper defects may be reduced rather than completely removed where further correction could compromise the paintwork.

The aim is always to achieve the best possible improvement without sacrificing paint unnecessarily.
