Forge Valeting - Terms and Conditions
1. General Information
Forge Valeting is a mobile valeting and detailing service that comes to your location to provide a convenient, high-quality service. By booking a service with Forge Valeting, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. Customer Requirements
To ensure a smooth and safe service, the following conditions must be met:
• Electricity Access: You must provide access to a safe electrical plug socket within 25 meters of the working area to allow us to run an extension lead.
• Location Suitability: We cannot work on main roads, busy roads, near tight bends, on narrow roads, or in pay-and-display car parks. If you think your location may not be suitable, please notify us in advance so alternative arrangements can be made.
3. Deposits & Bookings
• Deposit Requirement: A deposit of £40 is required for all bookings. This deposit will be deducted from the final bill upon completion of the service.
• Booking Process: Once a booking is placed, you will receive a reference number. Please use this number when paying the deposit.
• Cancellation & Transfer:
• You may transfer your appointment to another individual, provided you give us at least 48 hours’ notice. The new location must meet the requirements listed in these terms.
• Cancellations will incur a £40 administrative fee.
• Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged the full amount of the service booked.
4. Forge Valeting Cancellations
While we strive to honor all appointments, unforeseen circumstances such as traffic delays, acts of God, or external factors beyond our control may require us to cancel your booking. If this occurs, we will offer to reschedule your appointment within 14 days of the original booking date. If rescheduling is not possible, we will provide a full refund.
5. Additional Charges
• Heavily Soiled Vehicles: Additional charges may apply for vehicles with heavily soiled interiors, which may include excessive mud, pet hair, mold, vomit, blood, or other bodily fluids.
• If you believe your vehicle falls into this category, please notify us in advance and, if possible, provide photos or videos to allow us to provide an accurate estimate.
• If this is not possible, the additional charges will be discussed prior to the commencement of work.
6. Final Payment
The deposit paid will be deducted from the final bill, which is due upon completion of the service. You will receive an invoice via our invoicing app, and payment can be made through the app, bank transfer, PayPal, or cash.
• Late Payment: Failure to make payment within 7 days of invoice will result in an additional 20% charge on the total amount to cover administrative costs. Continued non-payment may result in legal action to recover the debt.
•. Any failure to pay will resort to court proceedings where you will be liable for any fees and losses incurred.
•. By confirming the booking you accept all terms and conditions.
• All missed payments will result in future appointments being declined when the 7 day allowance is missed.
7. Maintenance Scheme
• Monthly Service Requirement: For customers on our maintenance scheme, services must be carried out monthly to qualify for the maintenance rates. If more than a month passes between services, regular rates will apply.
• Notification of Condition: If your vehicle is dirtier than expected due to a busy month, please notify us in advance so we can allocate the appropriate amount of time and continue providing the highest level of service to all clients.
8. Health & Safety
• Working Area: For your safety, please do not enter the working area unless advised to do so by a Forge Valeting team member.
9. Service Limitations
• Clay Bar Process: This process is not suitable for matte-painted vehicles or areas of damaged or thin paint.
• Machine Polishing: Machine polishing is not recommended for matte-painted vehicles. Results may vary depending on the condition of the vehicle. Vehicles with low-quality or cheap paint repairs are also unsuitable for machine polishing.
• Ceramic Coating: The longevity of ceramic coatings depends on the correct maintenance procedures being followed.
10. Insurance
Forge Valeting holds public liability insurance to protect against any unforeseen incidents or accidents. This provides peace of mind for both parties in the unlikely event of an issue.
11. Agreement
By placing a booking with Forge Valeting, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Failure to comply may result in the full service charge being applied, and any legal action required to recover unpaid amounts will be pursued.
